My name is Matt Blasi (hence the site name 
), I’m a 27 year old web designer, developer and consultant working in NW Washington DC.
What I do:
I am currently working as a Director, Interactive Service for Changing Our World, the leading company in the philanthropic sector around the world and member of the Omnicom Group.
I love my job, I get to see every day how my work helps people. My job involves a variety of tasks for a variety of clients including consulting on interactive online related projects and opportunities, web design and development, social media involvement and online philanthropic opportunities for reaching out to current and future donors.
I also do freelance web design and strategy. Since my full time job always comes first I am only available for freelance work during certain hours. Those hours being 7pm – 11pm EST Monday – Friday, and 7am – 12noon Saturday and Sunday.
My Hobbies:
My main hobbies inclue my car which is a 2007 Mustang GT with far too much money put into it. The car is one of my ways of expressing myself to others, it is meant as something for me to have fun with while having no other real purpose.
I also enjoy photography, which conveniently I tie to cars as well. I like to spend my free time covering local racing and automotive events including the Grand Am Rolex Series, Grand Am Koni Series, NASA, SCCA, and Formula Drift. Outside of that I almost always have a camera, I love to take photos of anything I think is cool, or unique and living around DC and spending a good amount of time in Florida, and New York there is always something to photograph.
Finally there are my computers. Yes I am a geek I guess, I love technology in every aspect. I am the person with a computer wired into my car so that it comes on and shuts of when the car does, I am the guy who is alway connected somehow to the online world. I am always looking for something new, something fun to play with. I love developing new ways of doing things online and on my computers, there is always something new to determine and I love that challenge.
Who I do it for:
I have done work in the past in many sectors of the online community but my primary focus has always been non-profit organizations and automotive industry groups and companies. I primarily focus on these sectors because they are what I enjoy and they give me a great feeling of satisfaction in my work.
